The story of Richard is really inspiring. Somehow I found about him, google his name and found some youtube videos about him.I found those inspiring and decide to buy the book.While the most meaninful part of the story was there on the videos, there are some additional thoughts and experiences from the author that worth reading about.This isn't a very profound book that changes how to do things differently and doesn't present new ideas, but It inspires and invites you to do your own story.
Richard Montanez made it out of extreme poverty with humanity and wisdom. He has the delightful ability to frame his past mistakes and successes on the way up to the top of corporate world without letting his success rule his life. He is truly what the Japanese call a Sensei, a revered teacher and national treasure. He shares his secrets that made him successful in a world he knew nothing about. He writes to school children, teens, adults, yes, me and you. I loved loved this book.
Very profound. Sometimes the simple things can be so on target. Well done and well worth the read.
